High Flow Rate, Low Head Loss and a High storage capacity with easy install and maintenance.
The innovative design of the LittaTrap allows for installation across a wide range of grate inlets. No two catch basins are the same which makes other catch basin inserts difficult or expensive to install. The LittaTrap has standard sizes and flexibility using simple to use seal kits allows for professional and high performance installations.
The LittaTrap can be installed easily within a range of round stormwater infrastructure. We use a bracket which is as easy to install as the LittaTrap itself. The round seal kits can then be used to finish off the install that looks professional and provides optimal flow of water into the system
The performance of the LittaTrap can be enhanced by the use of Enviropod micron performance liners to target site-specific pollutants. The liners are easily attached to the LittaTrap basket and allow the capture of finer particles such as plastic pellets.

'Plastics New Zealand is the local industry association for plastics manufacturers and raw materials suppliers. We’ve worked closely with EnviroPod™ to give our plastics companies practical solutions for preventing accidental pollution into stormwater systems. LittaTraps and EnviroPods are now installed at many sites across New Zealand, with companies reporting satisfaction with their performance and the ease of maintenance of the devices. Plastics NZ is happy to recommend these EnviroPod™ products as a simple and effective solution to contain the accidental loss of plastics on industrial sites.'
The Enviropod technologies are a cost effective, easily maintained approach to managing pollutants and debris washing off our Yard from our snowmelting and general road maintenance operations. By installing LittaTraps we have found a simple, practical and effective solution to filter runoff and reduce the debris making its way into the stormwater system.
City staff are always looking for ways to help protect the environment. For our team that means looking at ways of treating and reducing the impacts of stormwater pollution on water bodies. The new LittaTrap Pilot Program looks to reduce stormwater pollution downtown and we hope to quantify this into 2022. This initiative also helps support building a greener Barrie, one of City Council’s goals.
