Easily maintained
Significant
cost savings

The EnviroPod™ TrenchPod™ Trench Drain combines proven stormwater treatment technology with a modular trench drain design. Available with a 5 mm full trash capture mesh filter liner available which meets the California State Water Board Full Trash Capture (FTC) requirements, preventing trash and gross pollutants from entering downstream stormwater systems.

Designed for retrofit or new construction, the TrenchPod™ Trench Drain is compact, easy to install, and simple to maintain – making it a practical solution for municipalities, engineers, and contractors.

The TrenchPod™ Trench Drain Filter is a modular, stainless-steel and HDPE filtration system designed for integration with trench drains ranging from 4.5–12” (112–300 mm) wide and depths up to 16” (400 mm). Standard 3’ segments can be connected for longer runs, with custom units available for non-standard dimensions.

Each unit incorporates a hydraulically engineered bypass to maintain full trench capacity during peak flow events. Maintenance is straightforward: filters can be lifted by hand or serviced by vacuum truck, and liners or sorbent pouches can be quickly replaced on-site.

The TrenchPod™ is designed for long service life and backed by an 8-year limited structural warranty.

Installation

Simple Installation

The TrenchPod™ Trench Drain is compact, easy to install, and simple to maintain.

Measure & Assess Trench Drain

  • Before installing a TrenchPod™, the trench grates and clear the trench of debris (leaves, trash and dirt). Lay out all materials next to the trench.
  • Measure the profile of the trench drain using a piece of paper.
  • Cut out the piece of paper to fit the measured trench drain profile and outline on the HDPE end plate.
  • Using a jigsaw, cut out the plastic end plate to fit the trench drain, ensuring the hole for the cage has a minimum 3/8" (10 mm) gap from the bottom of the plate, and that the plate is 1/4" shorter than the trench drain.

Install TrenchPod™

  • Slide the filter bag on the cage so the open end is on the side that goes into the end plate. Slide the cage and filter bag into the HDPE plate and screw them in place.
  • Place on the locating plates, making sure they sit under the grate and are attached using the dome headed bolts provided.
  • Replace the grate and remove any leftover tools or materials.
INSPECTION & Maintenance

Maintenance made easy

INSPECTION FREQUENCY:

  • Monthly during rainy seasons.
  • Quarterly during dry seasons.
  • After large rain events or spills.

01 Lift

Remove the trench grates.

02 Tip

Vacuum out the captured debris from the filter.

03 Reuse

Rinse the filter bag and wash it with clean water. Reinstall components and replace grates. Replace LavaSorb™ annually or as needed. Replace filte rbage if torn or excessively clogged.
