EnviroBasin™

At-source pretreatment, proven in Canadian municipalities.

EnviroBasin™ captures trash and sediment inside the all-in-one precast  catch basin while keeping full conveyance. Independently verified, backed by local design support, and now available in more configurations for your next design.

One structure.
Pretreatment built in.

EnviroBasin™ combines a catch basin and hydrodynamic separator in one unit, capturing trash and sediment at the source. By reducing the need for separate downstream treatment infrastructure, it simplifies installation and maintenance; lowering costs for developers and asset owners.

Plug and play

A pre-manufactured, easily to install product that saves the contractor time and installation cost.

Treat at the source

Captures trash and sediment at the inlet, before they reach your pipes.

Protect what's downstream

Keeps LID and infiltration systems cleaner, so they last longer.

Fewer structures

Can remove the need for a separate oil-grit separator where design allows.

Field evaluated in Canada.
Laboratory verified under
ISO 14034.

EnviroBasin was independently tested at Good Harbour Laboratories in Mississauga, Ontario, under the Canadian Oil-Grit Separator testing protocol.

Proven Success Across Canada

Installed in Canadian streets, car parks and industrial sites.

Kelwona,  British Columbia

The installation of three twin inlet EnviroBasin™ units delivered advanced pretreatment, capturing up to 60% of Total Suspended Solids (TSS) before they reached the infiltration and detention systems.

Protects downstream infrastructure.

Capturing the coarse, settleable load at the inlet keeps it out of pipes, LID and infiltration systems. That extends their life and reduces their maintenance.

FAQs

Other products are ETV verified too. What's different?

ETV verification provides evidence of a device’s stated performance; it does not mean all verified devices are interchangeable. EnviroBasin combines inlet collection, trash capture, hydrodynamic separation, and sediment storage in one catch basin structure, making it unique. When comparing alternatives, assess the verified performance, treatment flow, storage capacity, hydraulic configuration and maintenance requirements against the project’s design criteria.

Does it replace a downstream oil-grit separator?

EnviroBasin can provide an alternative to a conventional catch basin and separate downstream oil and grit separator where it meets the project’s treatment, hydraulic and approval requirements. Treating runoff at the inlet can reduce the need for additional downstream structures and connecting pipework and less capital cost.

Suitability must be confirmed through site-specific design and acceptance by the reviewing authority.

How do I size it for my catchment?

EnviroBasin is sized using the contributing drainage area, runoff characteristics, required treatment performance and flow conditions. The design also needs to consider inlet and outlet levels, sediment storage and the proposed maintenance regime.

EnviroPod’s Canadian team can support model selection and provide technical documentation for the project engineer’s review.

Can it go into existing catch basins?
